___________________________________________

I am a full-time writer and part-time reviewer living in the desert and wondering where I am going to go next. As one can write anywhere, I am always looking for a new muse. A bit restless in nature, I suppose.

Reviewer? Stumbled on a For Help sign and thought it would be an interesting, and an enjoyable experience. I was right.

My taste in books:

Favorite authors:

I have very eclectic tastes non-fiction for research and general interest, and fiction for entertainment. What I do not have in my library are Westerns of the Zane Grey persuasion. Other then that, anything well written or unique intrigues me.

I enjoy Umberto Eco Taylor Caldwell recently, Madison Foxe and Emy Naso.

What makes a book a keeper?

What makes me throw a book at the wall?

I like a story that is creative, appreciates the intelligence of the reader, is well-written, and is able to swing artfully between dialogue and narrative letting neither over-saturate the plot with needless noise. All books are keepers . I never get rid of a book, no matter how bad it is. It seems sacrilegious. Besides, people borrow from my library all the time, and one person s garbage is another person s literature. Writing appreciation, in my opinion, is a matter of personal taste.

I turn away from novels written in first-person. Though there are many well-written books from that perspective, it does not appeal to me.

My favorite genre and why?

My least favorite genre and why?

As is my taste in books (above) I tend to lean to no specific genre and actually with reviewing, I find, in the NovelSpot database a wonderful potpourri of genres to explore.

My bathroom library:

My to be read list:

I have no stash in the bathroom. In fact I keep The Naughty Nineties (A Saucy Pop-Up Book for Adults Only)- by Kaiser and Seymour - on my table next to the fireplace in the sitting room. I have few secrets.

Currently Stack: Gift From the Sea/The Courtesans/The Sense of Being Stared At/Sextrology/Bridge Over Madison County and Lost Languages. That does not include those that are currently in review.
