How I became a...
I'm a young housewife. My husband is in the US Army. He's overseas right now, and life is a series of waiting for phone calls and emails.
I'm also a writer, a daughter, a lover, and a friend, though not all at the same time.
I became a reviewer through a chance meeting online with a member of another Yahoo! Group. There was a group chat that night, and I popped in to see what people were saying and to get some tips on breaking into the published world. I forget how it happened, but I was told to email this person off list, and wham-o, I'm a reviewer!
I will read just about anything you put in front of me. I mainly stick to paranormal books, vampires werewolves faeries and all sorts of other things that go bump in the night. I stick to them because I like them the best.
I read a lot of Laurell K Hamilton, and I love Anne Bishop. Her Black Jewels trilogy blew me away. Everything was so real, I half expected to be able to plan a vacation there.
What makes a book a keeper?
What makes me throw a book at the wall?
My favorite genre and why?
My least favorite genre and why?
My least favorite books are war books. Ones that were written about the battles fought between men over the years. They have always felt dry and dusty to me, and they are the best way to put me to sleep.
